Classic Wines of Europe Tasting – in person

Please join Tacoma Wine Merchants and George-Philippe Bouyer on Saturday, September 25th, explore Classic Wines of Europe. We will enjoy and examine wines from several regions from the three largest wine-producing countries in Europe, and learn what makes these wines classic. This event will be a hybrid event with participants joining us either in person or online via Zoom.

TWM will host a limited amount of people to join us in-person and will enjoy the conviviality and conversation that these tastings generate, and will have the opportunity to ask questions as we move through the tasting. While in person, we will also enjoy a wine that isn’t included in the virtual tasting.

Those participating online will be receiving five wines in 4oz tasting bottles, which makes it a great event to share with someone special (20 oz of classic wines!). Questions can be submitted on the chat function. Additionally the tasting will be recorded, so if you would like to watch the recording at a different time that is a possibility as well. Your tasting kit will be available for pick up beginning at Noon (to 8pm) on Friday, September 24th.

VIRTUAL Tasting to begin at 4:15pm ~ $50 ($45 for wine club members ~ be sure to login to receive your member pricing!) plus a $5 REFUNDABLE bottle deposit. Includes 4 oz of each wine, perfect for sharing (or not!)! The $5 bottle deposit will be refunded when you return the tasting bottles (& lids) to the shop.

Selected wines will be enjoyed from the following regions: Burgundy, Bordeaux, Lombardy (in person only), Rioja, Piedmont, and Tuscany. As usual, all wines tasted will be sold at a discount  as a thank you for participating in the tasting.

Tacoma Wine Merchants (TWM) may record this event for quality and training purposes, as well as for those who cannot attend.  By registering for this event and joining the tasting on Zoom, you are agreeing to being recorded.
